This is what I have currently been up to lately. I’ve been reviving a webcomic, catching up on old webcomics and still studying and practising 2D animation. Mostly I’m taking some time off learning to paint and do webcomics. Software used was Clip Paint Studio EX. In all 3 videos.
I am starting up a manga/comic magazine called Digital Heart. It will accept creators of all skill levels and the detailed and submission form can be found here:
I wanted to make this for a long time now and I finally gathered enough help to get things rolling. This is fairly open minded and I really hope that it does well. I plan to feature tutorials as well as writers. Not just all comic’s. I’m also willing to allow people to place ads for $0.50 per banner in the zine.
MangaLabo beats Manga Studio hands down in speed and flow. ML flows as amazingly as Easy Paint Tool Sai. Manga Studio on the other hand has a very high ink line correction controls. MangaLabo has some correction that is good enough for the regular shakey hand but it could have a little more. But I’m not complaining. It’s still amazingly high powered with half the lag of Manga Studio. Either way they are both amazing and excellent programs. But MangaLabo is worth checking out. Definite try before you buy.
So here’s a quicky ink and tone fan art of my Saints Row 2 character mod of Boss and Carlos. Because I love Carlos T^T ❤
Best program I have bought. I might have said it on this blog, if so, sorry but really the fact it doesn’t crash has me in utter love as well as building blocks for building work in the views I want with snap to rulers, it’s made things a lot easier. Such an excellent screentoning program!
So I have been thinking about making pixel dolls for a while now. Many like to draw on clothes and dress them or use them in games etc. I hardly ever see a buff guy though, usually a lot of seme and uke types for yaoi and shounen-ai pixel doll manga’s online. Or I see the skinny adorable ones for shoujo stuff. Anyway, all that aside I decided to make some for free and commercial use.
Steal the, eat them, whatever just have fun with them ^w^ Of course I would love credit where credit is due but it’s not necessary. Also I would absolutely adore to see what you can make with them! Also feel free to edit or alter in anyway you want. Chop of the heads and replace with a new one, whatever you want!
Before I forget I used GraphicsGale to make these dolls. I used the freeware version and turned the grid on and off to align everything. I tried to record it but I had no success. Great program btw. Excellent use for RPG Maker VX and XP. If I had $25 I’d buy the full program.
Just to show I am actually doing something and not all talk because I realise for a week I think I’ve been saying how I’m drawing and then I show nothing so yeah, here’s a screen cap.
The city scape is a screentone so please don’t congratulate me on the city. I was playing with various tones, colouring them, toning them, adding shadows just to see the effects and to learn a bit more about stylizing buildings. Plus I want to keep this webcomic simple. The more simple the more likely I am to post regularly. I am considering posting to drunkduck.com because of what it offers now. I keep changing my mind lately but I will see what happens with the comic before I post elsewhere.
